What this package does:
The application is  business intelligence package that runs on all leading software Oracle,  Microsoft SQL Server and MySQL . It contains query tools for data analysis and presentation. It allows agency staff to run ad-hoc reports on expenditure information, including allotments, expenditures and adjustments. Financial data can be diced and sliced various levels of organization hierarchy as well as across organizational units / functions.

The need that this package fills:
Currently, most agencies that access general ledger information from a source like CALSTARS do not receive the data into a single system that can provide them with ad-hoc reporting capability. The data they obtain is usually spread across many systems / databases. Our package provides a single point of data pooling and tools for financial analysis.  This package works on the principle of Business Intelligence and allow dynamic analysis and reporting.  Thus it enables an agency to improve its understanding of its finances and implement improved financial controls.

Telecommand created a similar Business Intelligence package  to this new application for the Department of Fish and Game. This application has been working well for the past three years.
