APEX is a rapid web application development tool for the Oracle database that leverages all the power behind the Oracle database engine. Since its introduction in 2003, APEX has gathered a dedicated and growing list of developers who are attracted by the simplicity and the power behind the tool. Armed with just knowledge of SQL, it is possible for developers to build and deploy professional looking web applications with a minimal amount of coding required.
APEX resides completely in the database. All applications are rendered in real time from data in tables residing within the database. Developers access the development environment not through installs on their local machines, but by just using their browsers.
APEX provides a declarative coding environment, thus providing you with wizards and property sheets to interact with. Some of the key features of APEX are :
